I'm new to the forum, but used pyTivo several years ago intermittently and just recently installed the new version on a media server I was building.
Anyway, I wanted to pass along some feedback regarding the Windows install instructions. I think the instructions are pretty good and complete. I followed them and was able to get everything up and running. Where I had a few issues and had to do some reading was regarding running pyTivo as service with network drives/shares. The instructions mention changing the service to use the network service so it can access network shares, however in my situation that did not work. With some further research I used the UNC share name and changed the service logon account to be the user that logs into the computer.
I think it would be beneficial to clarify in the instructions to use the UNC share name vs. mapped network drives and to use the appropriate user logon information for the service. I found this out after searching and reading several different threads. It would be nice to have all that in one spot vs. several scattered threads.
