I've been happily running a version of wmcbrine's fork from 18 August 2008, but I recently encountered an mpg file that can't be transcoded by the version of ffmpeg in that package (SVN-r11870), so I started reading through this forum looking for information on the current state of development.
I see that rdian06 has been doing lots of work on ffmpeg (thanks, rdian06!), and that it looks like krkeegan's installer hasn't been updated since something like May 2008.
I have no problem using either the installer or the gzipped tar files from the git repository, but I'm having a hard time determining the recommended version to install as of 22 November 2008.
It also looks like the "pyTivo current release" Trac page (http://pytivo.armooo.net/wiki/CurrentRelease) isn't being updated regularly either. Is there a canonical location I should be checking for information about the current state of pyTivo?
Should I just download wmcbrine's or wgw's latest snapshot from the git repository and then replace the ffpmeg in that snapshot with rdian06's version?
Sorry to start a new topic about this, but after reading 4 or 5 of the existing topics that discuss packages and versions, my head was spinning.

I'd love an answer to this as well. I used the Windows installer from back in May (which worked great!) but can't figure out how to update it. Is there a more recently version of that installer, or something like a nightly build for the Windows installer package?
