I apologize for being vague but I'm in terra incognita. Are there any guidelines for tuning block size and buffer size in transcode.py?
If I increase the values to 1024 * 2048 I appear to get much better transcoding performance (along with much higher CPU utilization) -- until the process pauses and (I assume) waits for some other buffer somewhere to empty.
On other threads, wmcbrine has mentioned that TiVo receives data at a set rate and I'm wondering if I could be running into that. Or maybe I need to tune values elsewhere as well.
