I've been using pyTivoX without a problem for a while now. So when after upgrading to Lion, the transfers slowed down to a crawl, I thought that it was just an outdated version of pyTivo causing the issue.
However, I've just upgraded pyTivo to the latest (wmcbrine fork), installed the latest version of ffmpeg via Macports - got the server up and running....
And it's still slow.
I can see that ffmpeg is only using a fraction of my processor - maybe 5%. Changing the thread number doesn't seem to make a difference. It seems like the max sustainable speed is around 15fps - which comes out to approximately 0.5s of video per second - or less.
I have a network monitor on, and my network traffic and signal should be fine. I have a Tivo Premiere so it's not slow on that end.
As far as the configuration file - there's nothing in it atm except for my shares and the path to ffmpeg.
