I've been working on an installation script for pyTivo under windows. It's loosely based on Rdian06's Windows installer but instead of containing the pyTivo files, it locates the latest version on the git webpage and downloads it. This means the windows installer is always up to date...
I've got it all working so that it prompts users for elevated permissions (if they have UAC enabled), creates the appropriate firewall rules, downloads tivodecode and ffmpeg etc.
I'm now working on creating the initial pyTivo.conf file. There are a couple of settings in Rdian06's conf file that I don't know what they do. Can anyone advise if they are still required (or if newer version have made them redundant and what they do (I've removed the bits I know about)?
I'm guessing the args line (under handler_rotfile) puts the debug.log file in a location that all users have write access to which means you can get around the permissions issue under program files (I also note that Rdian06's installer puts pyTivo.conf in the Public, Documents folder). But I'm not really sure what the other settings do and if they are necessary.
