I had a hell of a time getting my TiVos to see the shares from pyTivo using my new Windows 10 computer. The pyTivo running on my old Windows 7 computer was still working fine, so I knew my router/network supported it. Turning off the Windows firewall on my new computer fixed everything, but I didn't really like that solution. So I figured it had something to do with firewall permissions. But manually opening up all the pyTivo ports (9032, 5353, 2190 etc...) didn't help at all. I was pulling out my hair.
And then I noticed that Windows 10 had set up my ethernet port as a "Public" network instead of "Private". I manually switched it to Private (thanks to Google), and BOOM everything works fine now. I figured I would share my experience here in case anybody else has this issue in the future...
