I've been using pyTivo for MANY years on Windows boxes with great results, but now I'm looking to set up an actual NAS server and was wondering if anybody else here had worked with pyTivo in a Docker container.
Thanks for your reply (and sorry for the delay in mine)!
I eventually got it working - but I rather than being a zeroconf issue, I think it was simply that all my paths were not aligning (I'm still getting used to Docker containers). My guess is the share appeared for as long as it took pyTivo to realize the share path was invalid (not just empty, but actually not even a path).
So in case anybody else bumps into this, here's what I did:
- in the docker setup I set "Host Path 2" to be "/mnt/user"
- in pyTivo I set my share path to be "/media/Videos/" (where Videos is a share I created in the unRAID GUI)
So ultimately, the combination of the "Host Path 2" container value and the pyTivo share path yielded a full path to the videos - and magically made the share show up, and STAY up, on my TiVos.
