Something which probably no one but me cares about is PEP 8, the Style Guide for Python Code. I think these are good guidelines, and I've tried to adhere to them. I think they make the code a lot more readable. I would urge others to follow them as well.
But more than that, I'd really like to go back and clean up the existing code so that it all conforms. I'm happy to do it all myself, but it would mean broad (though shallow) changes all across the code, so it would greatly increase the disparities with other forks; plus I'd like to be able to feel that it wouldn't all be undone again the next time someone else made a patch. So it's something I'd like to get agreement on before I proceed.
Maybe all it would do is to satisfy my own OCD. But maybe it would make pyTivo more readable, and maintainable, going forward. What do you say? _________________ My pyTivo fork . My page
