Heyas.. I maintain pytivox (a front-end to pytivo on the mac) and someone seems to have a bug I can't figure out. Was hoping re-asking it on this board might yield some helpful ideas:
Basically, he has a 16:9 TV. a Tivo HD. Is using pyTivo (wgw) on a mac, with the default settings for everything (except the beacon), and an ffmpeg built from an svn download that is about 3 weeks old.
When he tries to transfer an avi file that has an xvid encoded (23.9fps) movie at 2.4 aspect ratio, the movie is 'stretched' to fill the whole screen, instead of being letterboxed.
If he views it on his computer (on vlc), it is displayed with the correct aspect ratio.
He has tried using the 'aspect' button on the remote to set it to 'panel'. No good.
So, is this a known issue with pyTivo? Is there a way to fix this via a config setting? (I'd be happy to get more info if that'll help debug this).
