Since the Mini has nowhere to transfer to, basically this would mean having to implement the new-style (non-HME) streaming protocol that the Series 4+ TiVos and Minis use when you "Play" from another TiVo. (In Zeroconf terms, the _tivo-videostream service, rather than the _tivo-videos that pyTivo currently implements.) Superficially, it looks like this might be achieved with a few simple mods to an HMO server like pyTivo. But I've tried that, and it doesn't actually work. What it would actually take to implement it, I'm not sure. But I suspect it's non-trivial. _________________ My pyTivo fork . My page
I think you may have misunderstood the whole question. I know that it would take a lot of development to get it to "stream" directly to the mini.
What I am interested in is to have the pyTivo list of shows show up on the mini. Initiating the transfer to the Premiere/Roamio that is the host of the mini. Even if this causes an error initially on the mini. I could then browse to the host box to obtain the show that is transfering from pyTivo.
At the moment the interface does not even show up on the mini's screen.
Do you think it would be possible to at least allow the user to see the list of shows from pyTivo on the mini?
