I am wondering if anyone knows whether or not 640k AC3 can be used when pulling to the TiVo. I have an MKV that is h264 + 640k AC3 and when pulling (video transcode to mpeg2vob, audio copy) I am receiving numerous FFmpeg buffer underrun errors.
I have found through trial and error that if I transcode the audio bitrate for AC3 to 448k I do not receive the errors.
448k is already supposed to be the maximum bit rate, at least in my fork. Is that not working? Or is this a lucasnz thing?
I could swear I saw another reply from you but it's not here now.....anyways the remuxed MP4 files sent to the TiVo work fine on the S4 platform up to 640k AC3. I can't get FFmpeg to mux a VOB file with 640k AC3 at all so it's a moot point for me as to whether the TiVo supports it or not. I haven't come across any DVD's that encode the AC3 audio at 640k.
