I finally looked into what it would take to support iTunes in pyTivo, and it seems pretty simple. However, I need some advice from people who use the iTunes features of TiVo Desktop and/or Galleon. How should this work? Screenshots welcome.
Also, just out of curiosity, is iTunes support in TiVo Desktop the same on Mac and Windows? (I don't anticipate any difference in how it works for the two platforms in pyTivo, but I haven't looked at a Windows installation of iTunes yet.)
itunes support would be really nice to have. I'm not sure if this is the kind of feedback you are looking for but here goes... I've been playing around with accessing itunes on my pytivo equipped box for a few months and havent found a good solution. Part of the reason is that I have a really large music collection but its not very well organized. My wife and I dont have the time to create a lot of playlists, its too time consuming and often times the meta data is wrong for our itunes music anyway. so for us it would be nice to have heirarchical navigation. For example, if you wanted to listen to the Rolling Stones, then you could go to an R folder and find all the artists in your collection that start with the letter R. Album art and what not would be really nice but for us navigation and access is more important.
