I have a (low importance) enhancement request. I would like the metadata.py file to be updated so that in addition to looking for default.txt in the directory where the video file is, it also looks in the .meta directory.
I have a .meta directory in each of my subdirectories, and I keep all of the metadata files in that .meta directory. I tried adding some default things in the file default.txt (inside the .meta directory) and could not get it to work. No problem, I just put whatever info I want into each of the metadata files.
However, the recent addition of the "time: oad" tag made me really desire the ability to use a default.txt file. I wanted this bad enough that I dug into the code to find out why it wasn't working for me. I thought maybe I had the filename wrong or something (e.g. .default.txt or _default.txt or something else). However, what I found was that the code only looks for dafault.txt in the primary directory, not in the .meta directory. (At least that is what I think I found - I'm no python expert.)
I think this would be a nice addition that may save someone time in the future. It's pretty easy to add - but also very low importance. Hopefully William can add it to one of his future releases.
By the way, thanks to William and everyone else who has had a part in creating this great tool!
