It appears that the latest version of TiVo Desktop (2.7) includes the ability to view multiple episodes of the same show on the PC grouped into folders (even when they are not in folders on the PC). For instance, say I had two episodes of 'CSI' and one episode of '24' downloaded to my PC. When I view the 'Now Playing' list of the PC (from the TiVo - via TiVo Desktop), I would see a folder containing the two 'CSI' episodes and a single entry for '24'.
Any idea how they accomplished this? Is there any chance pyTivo could do the same thing? I'm usually pretty good about creating separate folders for things in my pyTivo shares but, it would be nice to have them be automatic if multiple episodes of the same show appeared in a single (root?) directory. I suppose this would/should be optional - or controlled by the 'use groups' option of the TiVo NPL.
I know there have been several discussion about 'auto generation' of sub-shares (by genre, rating, etc.) but, I figure if there was a simple way to mimic what TiVo Desktop is doing, this might be a quick win... and potentially lead to some of those other things... maybe?
